CATAN Championship 2025-2026 - scoring and stages
12-28 entrants: 3 preliminary games and final. 29-79: 3 preliminary games, top-16 semifinals and final. 80+: 4 preliminary games, zero-win cut after game 3, top-16 semifinals and final. Field and format lock at round 1. Initial seating prioritizes varied opponents, play-order rotation, then friends/family separation. Later stages use serpentine seating; hosts record play-order choices in ranking order. Hosts manage map study, placement and turn timers, and official conduct rules.
