Plan a Seafarers game

This generator supports three scenario families from the English 2025 edition: Heading for New Shores, The Four Islands (The Six Islands with 5–6 players), and New World. Choose 3, 4, 5, or 6 players. Other Seafarers scenarios are not included.

What you need

For 3–4 players, use the CATAN base game and the Seafarers expansion. For 5–6 players, you also need the CATAN 5–6 player extension and the Seafarers 5–6 player extension. Check that your editions are compatible; the layouts and component pools here follow the 2025 English rules.

The scenario rulebook still governs starting settlements, ships, discovery bonuses, the pirate, and victory points. Open “Before you set sail” for the rules matching your player count.

Generate, keep, and share

Choose a scenario and player count, adjust the placement options, then press Generate. Required scenario restrictions remain enabled. A failed attempt leaves your current board unchanged; relax an optional constraint and try again.

Save code keeps the displayed board under a reusable map code. PNG downloads its board image. Share tries your device’s image-sharing menu, but browser permissions or timing may prevent it from opening; the saved link remains available to copy. Generating again creates a new draft; your previously saved map remains available at its original link.

This tool arranges boards; it does not calculate Seafarers settlement rankings, shipping strategy, or player balance. The separate Classic board analyzer is for Classic maps. Classic board analyzer →
